The Russian Plain, also known as the East European Plain, is a vast flatland stretching from the Ural Mountains in the east to the Carpathian Mountains in the west. It covers an area of over 1.5 million square kilometers and is the largest plain in Europe. The Russian Plain is mostly composed of steppes, which are large areas of grassland with few trees. Steppes are characterized by their dry climate and sparse vegetation, making them ideal for grazing animals such as horses, sheep, and cattle.
