The Russian Chessmaster is a title held by three of the greatest chess players in history: Boris Spassky, Anatoly Karpov, and Mikhail Tal. Boris Spassky was the tenth World Chess Champion, reigning from 1969 to 1972. Anatoly Karpov was the twelfth World Chess Champion, reigning from 1975 to 1985. Mikhail Tal was the eighth World Chess Champion, reigning from 1960 to 1961. All three of these grandmasters have made significant contributions to the game of chess and are remembered as some of the greatest players of all time.
