Rob Roy was a Scottish folk hero and outlaw of the early 18th century. He is sometimes known as the Scottish Robin Hood due to his reputation for stealing from the rich and giving to the poor. ROB Roy's real name was Robert MacGregor, and he was born in 1671 in Scotland. He was a cattle drover and became involved in a feud with the Duke of Montrose, which led to him being declared an outlaw. He was eventually pardoned by King George I in 1725.
