Roseanne BARR is an American actress, comedian, writer, and television producer. She is best known for her role as the eponymous character in the sitcom Roseanne (1988–1997; 2018). She also starred in the show's spin-off, The Conners (2018–present). BARR has won numerous awards for her work, including two Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe Award. She was also the first female comic to host the MTV Video Music Awards.
