Erwin Rommel, also known as 'The Desert Fox', was a German Field Marshal during World War II. He was a highly decorated officer in the German Army and was awarded the Pour le Merite for his successes on the battlefield. Rommel was also known for his tactical brilliance and his ability to outmaneuver his opponents. He is most famous for his leadership of the Afrika Korps in North Africa during the war.
