The Rome Raiders were a group of Goths who invaded the city of Rome in 410 AD. They sacked the city and caused much destruction, leaving it in ruins. The Goths were a Germanic people who had migrated from Scandinavia and Eastern Europe to the Roman Empire. The raiders were led by Alaric, a Visigoth chieftain, and their attack on Rome marked the beginning of the end of the Western Roman Empire.
