Roman marketplaces, known as FORA, were public spaces in Ancient Rome where people could buy and sell goods. They were typically located in the center of the city and served as a hub for social and political activity. The most famous of these was the Forum Romanum, which was the main marketplace in Rome. Other FORA included the Forum Boarium, which was a cattle market, and the Forum Holitorium, which was a vegetable market.
