Rodeo ropes are an essential part of the sport of rodeo. They consist of four different types of rope: LARIATS (7 letters), reatas (6 letters), RIATAS (6 letters), LASSOES (7 letters), and LASSOS (6 letters). LARIATS are long ropes with a loop at one end, used to rope cattle. Reatas are similar to LARIATS, but are made of braided rawhide. RIATAS are also similar to LARIATS, but are made of leather. LASSOES are short ropes with a loop at one end, used to rope horses. LASSOS are similar to LASSOES, but are made of braided rawhide. All of these ropes are used in rodeo competitions to capture and control livestock.
