The Oder is a river in Central and Eastern Europe that flows from the Czech Republic to the Baltic Sea. It is the second longest river in Central Europe, after the Danube, and is 854 kilometers long. The Oder forms part of the border between Germany and Poland, and also serves as an important waterway for trade and transportation. The Oder empties into the Baltic Sea near the city of Szczecin in Poland.
