The term RED FORT CITY refers to the city of AGRA, India. AGRA is a city located on the banks of the Yamuna River in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh. It is most famous for being home to the iconic Taj Mahal, a mausoleum built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. AGRA is also home to the Red Fort, a massive red sandstone fort built by Akbar in 1565. The fort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is one of the most popular tourist attractions in India.
