Rebecca WEST, also known by her pen name Dame Cicely Isabel Fairfield, was an English author, journalist, literary critic, and political commentator. She is best known for her novel 'The Return of the Soldier' (1918) and her reportage on the Nuremberg Trials (1945–46). Her other works include 'Black Lamb and Grey Falcon' (1941), a travelogue-cum-history of the Balkans, and 'The Meaning of Treason' (1949), a study of the trial of William Joyce, Lord Haw-Haw. WEST was made a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 1959. LOBO was the pseudonym of the Spanish novelist and playwright María del Pilar Sinues de Marco. She is best known for her novel 'La loba' (1962), which was adapted into a film in 1965.
