Kool Moe Dee is a legendary American rapper, songwriter, and actor from New York City. He began his career in the late 1970s as part of the rap group Treacherous Three, and released his debut solo album in 1986. He is known for his pioneering use of rap battle techniques, and for his socially conscious lyrics. He has released several albums throughout his career, and has been nominated for multiple Grammy Awards.
