Rail Riders are people who ride the rails of a train, usually without paying for a ticket. They are commonly referred to as Hobos or HOBOES. Hobos are people who travel from place to place looking for work and often live in poverty. HOBOES are similar to Hobos but are more likely to be homeless and have less money. Both Hobos and HOBOES are often seen riding the rails of freight trains, which is why they are referred to as Rail Riders.
