Queens Ballpark, also known as Shea Stadium, is a former Major League Baseball stadium located in Flushing Meadows–Corona Park, Queens, New York City. It was the home of the New York Mets from 1964 to 2008. The stadium was named after William A. Shea, the man who was instrumental in bringing National League baseball back to New York. It hosted the Beatles' famous concert in 1965 and was the site of two World Series championships for the Mets in 1969 and 1986.
