Colin Kaepernick is an American football quarterback who is currently a free agent. He is best known for his time with the San Francisco 49ers, with whom he played from 2011 to 2016. Kaepernick is also known for his activism, particularly his kneeling during the national anthem in protest of police brutality and racial injustice. He has been a prominent figure in the Black Lives Matter movement since 2016.
