Puppeteer Lewis is the stage name of Shari Lewis, an American ventriloquist, puppeteer, children's entertainer, and author. She was best known for her television series Lamb Chop's Play-Along, which ran from 1992 to 1997. She was also the creator of the puppet characters Lamb Chop, Charlie Horse, and Hush Puppy. Lewis was a five-time Emmy Award winner and was inducted into the Television Hall of Fame in 1998.
