James AGEE was an American novelist, poet, screenwriter, and journalist who won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1958 for his novel 'A Death in the Family'. He was also a film critic for The Nation and Time magazine. AGEE wrote several other novels, short stories, and poems, and was posthumously awarded the National Book Award for Nonfiction for his autobiographical work 'Let Us Now Praise Famous Men'.
