Tito Puente, also known as 'The Mambo King', was a renowned Latin jazz and mambo musician. He was born in New York City in 1923 and is considered one of the most influential Latin musicians of the 20th century. He was a multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, and bandleader who released over 100 albums during his career. Puente was a five-time Grammy Award winner and was inducted into the International Latin Music Hall of Fame in 1993.
