Ralph Nader is the founder of the public interest group Public Citizen. He is an American political activist, author, lecturer, and attorney who first became prominent in 1965 with the publication of his book Unsafe at Any Speed, a critique of the safety record of American automobile manufacturers. He has since been involved in numerous causes, including consumer protection, environmentalism, and government reform.
