Janet Leigh was an American actress best known for her role as Marion Crane in the 1960 Alfred Hitchcock classic film Psycho. She was born Jeanette Helen Morrison in Merced, California in 1927 and began her career as a child actress in the 1940s. She went on to star in numerous films throughout her career, including The Manchurian Candidate, Bye Bye Birdie, and Touch of Evil. Leigh was married to actor Tony Curtis from 1951 until their divorce in 1962. She passed away in 2004 at the age of 77.
