The Prometheus Muralist was Jose Clemente Orozco, a Mexican painter and political activist. He is best known for his large-scale murals that addressed social and political issues of the time. Orozco's most famous work is the mural Prometheus, which he painted in 1930 at Pomona College in California. The mural depicts the Greek myth of Prometheus, who stole fire from the gods and gave it to humanity. It is considered one of the most important works of Mexican muralism.
