Florenz Ziegfeld, commonly known as Flo Ziegfeld, was an American Broadway impresario and theatrical producer. He is best known for his series of theatrical revues, the Ziegfeld Follies, which featured elaborate costumes, beautiful chorus girls, and popular music. He was also a successful film producer, responsible for such films as The Great Ziegfeld (1936) and Show Boat (1936). Ziegfeld was one of the most influential figures in the history of American theater and entertainment.
