Prisoner's Conditional Release, also known as PAROLE, is a form of release from prison that allows an offender to serve the remainder of their sentence in the community under supervision. It is granted by a PAROLE board or other authority after a prisoner has served a portion of their sentence. The conditions of PAROLE may include regular meetings with a PAROLE officer, abstaining from drugs and alcohol, and attending counseling or educational programs.
