Otto Preminger was a renowned Austrian-American film director, producer, and actor. He is best known for his work in the film noir genre, directing such classics as Laura (1944), Fallen Angel (1945), and Anatomy of a Murder (1959). Preminger was also an innovator in the use of wide-screen technology and color cinematography. He was nominated for five Academy Awards and won two Golden Globe Awards.
