Preadults are individuals who are between the ages of 13 and 19, and are considered to be in a transitional stage between childhood and adulthood. They are often referred to as teens (5 letters) or minors (6 letters). This age group is characterized by increased independence, physical and emotional maturity, and the development of abstract thinking skills. Preadults are beginning to make decisions that will shape their future, and are often faced with difficult choices.
