Pre-Columbian Civilization refers to the cultures and societies that existed in the Americas before the arrival of Europeans. Two of the most well-known Pre-Columbian civilizations are the Toltec and the Maya. The Toltec were a Mesoamerican people who lived in central Mexico from the 10th to 12th centuries CE. They were known for their advanced architecture, art, and writing systems. The Maya were a Mesoamerican people who lived in what is now southern Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, and Honduras from 2000 BCE to the 16th century CE. They were known for their sophisticated mathematics, astronomy, and calendar systems.
