Portable quarters is a term used to describe temporary housing structures that can be easily moved from one location to another. Two examples of portable quarters are tents and tepees. Tents are four-sided structures made of fabric or other material that are supported by poles and ropes. Tepees are five-sided structures made of animal hides or canvas that are held up by wooden poles. Both tents and tepees provide shelter and can be quickly set up and taken down.
