Poet Octavio Paz was a Mexican writer, diplomat, and Nobel Prize winner. He is best known for his work in poetry, essays, and translations. His most famous works include 'The Labyrinth of Solitude' and 'Sunstone'. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1990 for his 'impassioned writing' and 'incisive analyses'. Paz was also a member of the Mexican Academy of Language and served as Mexico's ambassador to India from 1962 to 1968.
