Conrad Aiken was an American poet, novelist, and short story writer. He was born in Savannah, Georgia in 1889 and died in 1973. He was a Pulitzer Prize winner for his Collected Poems in 1930. He wrote many works of poetry, fiction, and non-fiction, including Ushant: An Essay, The Kid, and The Charnel Rose. He was a member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters and the National Institute of Arts and Letters.
