POCUS LEAD-IN is an acronym for Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) Leadership Development Initiative. It is a program designed to provide training and support to healthcare professionals in the use of ultrasound technology for patient care. The program was developed by the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) and the Society of Academic Emergency Medicine (SAEM). HOCUS is an acronym for Hands-on Clinical Ultrasound Simulation, which is a component of the POCUS LEAD-IN program. This simulation provides participants with the opportunity to practice ultrasound techniques in a simulated clinical environment.
