The PLAY AWARDS are three prestigious awards given to recognize excellence in the performing arts. The ESPYS, which stands for Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly Awards, are presented by ESPN to recognize individual and team athletic achievement and other sports-related performances. The OBIES, or Off-Broadway Theater Awards, are presented annually to recognize excellence in Off-Broadway theater. The TONYS, or Tony Awards, are presented by the American Theatre Wing and The Broadway League to recognize excellence in Broadway theatre.
