The Otoes were a Native American tribe that lived along the Platte River in the Great Plains region of North America. They were part of the larger Omaha-Ponca language group and were closely related to the Missouri and Iowa tribes. The Otoes were known for their buffalo hunting and trading skills, and they were also skilled farmers. They were eventually forced to move to Oklahoma in the late 19th century due to the expansion of white settlers.
