The Platte River Indian refers to two Native American tribes, the Otoe and the Pawnee. The Otoe are a federally recognized tribe of Native Americans who traditionally lived in the Great Plains region of the United States. The Pawnee are a Native American tribe that historically lived along the Platte River in what is now Nebraska.
