Place of entry is a term used to describe the point of access into a building, area, or other space. An INLET is a narrow opening or passage, usually from a larger body of water, such as a bay or harbor. A PORT is a place where ships can dock and unload cargo. A DOOR is an entranceway that can be opened and closed. Finally, a GATE is a barrier that can be opened and closed to control access. All of these terms can be used to describe a place of entry.
