The Pittsburgh Football Team is commonly referred to as the Steelers. The team was founded in 1933 and is the oldest franchise in the American Football Conference (AFC). The Steelers have won six Super Bowl championships, eight AFC championships, and have had more players inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame than any other NFL team. They are one of the most successful teams in the NFL and have a passionate fan base.
