Orel Hershiser is a former Major League Baseball pitcher who played for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Cleveland Indians, San Francisco Giants, and New York Mets. He was an All-Star in 1988 and won the National League Cy Young Award in 1988. He is best known for his record-breaking 59 consecutive scoreless innings streak in 1988. He was also a member of the Mets' 2000 World Series championship team.
