Luigi Pirandello was an Italian playwright, novelist, poet, and short story writer. He is best known for his plays, which include Six Characters in Search of an Author and Right You Are (If You Think You Are). He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1934 for his 'bold and brilliant renovation of the drama and the stage.' He wrote over 50 plays and numerous novels, short stories, and poems. His works are considered to be some of the most important contributions to modern theatre.
