The French physicist Andre-Marie Ampère was a pioneer in the field of electrodynamics. He is credited with discovering the relationship between electricity and magnetism, which is now known as Ampère's Law. He also developed the first mathematical description of the electromagnetic force, which is now known as Ampère's Force Law.
