Alicia de Larrocha was a Spanish pianist who was widely regarded as one of the greatest pianists of the 20th century. She was known for her interpretations of Spanish music and her mastery of the works of composers such as Mozart, Beethoven, and Debussy. She was awarded numerous awards throughout her career, including the Prince of Asturias Award in 1992 and the Gold Medal of Merit in the Fine Arts in 2003.
