Clara Schumann was a renowned pianist and composer of the Romantic era. She was born in Leipzig, Germany in 1819 and married Robert Schumann in 1840. She was a child prodigy, performing her first public concert at the age of nine. She was an influential figure in the music world, performing and composing works for piano, chamber music, and lieder.
