Dave Brubeck was a renowned American jazz pianist and composer. He was born in 1920 and is best known for his pioneering work in the genre of cool jazz. He was also a member of the group The Dave Brubeck Quartet, which released several albums in the 1950s and 1960s. Brubeck was awarded numerous honors throughout his career, including a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 1996. He passed away in 2012 at the age of 91.
