Peter of the Wailers is a reference to Peter TOSH, a Jamaican reggae musician and songwriter. He was a founding member of the band The Wailers, along with Bob Marley and Bunny Wailer. TOSH was known for his powerful lyrics and vocal style, as well as his activism for social justice. He released several solo albums after leaving The Wailers in 1974, and continued to perform and record until his death in 1987.
