Peter Asher is a British musician, record producer, and actor who is best known as one half of the 1960s pop duo Peter and Gordon. He is also the brother of actress Jane Asher. Asher was born in London in 1944 and began his career as a singer and songwriter in 1964 with his partner Gordon Waller. The duo had several hits, including 'A World Without Love' and 'I Go to Pieces'. Asher later went on to become a successful record producer, working with artists such as Linda Ronstadt, James Taylor, and Neil Diamond.
