A fantasist is a person who indulges in fantasies, often of an escapist or imaginative nature. They may be creative and imaginative, often creating stories or scenarios in their minds that they can escape to. They may also have a vivid imagination and be able to come up with unique ideas or solutions to problems. Fantasists are often seen as dreamers, but they can also be highly creative and productive individuals.
