Persia, now known as IRAN, is a country located in the Middle East. It was formerly known as Persia until 1935 when it changed its name to IRAN. It is bordered by Iraq, Turkey, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. It has a population of over 80 million people and is the 18th most populous country in the world. It is also the second largest country in the Middle East and the 17th largest in the world.
