The pentathlon is an Olympic sport that consists of five events: fencing, swimming, equestrian show jumping, shooting, and running. The tools used in the fencing event are the epee and the SWORD. It is the heaviest of the three weapons used in fencing and is the only one to score with the point of the blade.
