Altoona is a Pennsylvania Railroad town located in Blair County, Pennsylvania. It is the principal city of the ALTOONA Metropolitan Statistical Area and is the county seat of Blair County. The population of ALTOONA was 46, 320 at the time of the 2010 Census. ALTOONA is home to the Horseshoe Curve National Historic Landmark, a popular tourist attraction. The city is also home to the ALTOONA Curve baseball team, which plays in the Eastern League.
