The Iberian Peninsula, also known as IBERIA, is a large peninsula located in the southwest corner of Europe. It is shared by Spain and Portugal and is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the west and south and the Mediterranean Sea to the east. The peninsula has a long history, with both countries having been inhabited since prehistoric times. It is home to many cultural and historical sites, including the Alhambra Palace in Granada, Spain, and the Jeronimos Monastery in Lisbon, Portugal.
