The Adelie Penguin is a species of penguin found in Antarctica. It is one of the most common and numerous penguin species, with an estimated population of over 3 million individuals. The Adelie Penguin is named after the French explorer Jules Dumont d'Urville's wife, Adelie. They are easily recognizable by their black heads, white bellies, and pink feet. They feed mainly on krill, fish, and squid, and can dive up to depths of 200 meters.
