The Peace Accords, also known as PACTS, were a series of agreements signed in the 1990s to end the civil war in El Salvador. The accords were signed by the government of El Salvador and the Farabundo Martí National Liberation Front (FMLN) in 1992, and they included provisions for human rights, land reform, and the demobilization of FMLN forces. The accords also provided for the establishment of a Truth Commission to investigate human rights abuses during the conflict.
